CSD Credit Union approached us looking for a website redesign with more user-friendly qualities, including a modern look and feel with a simplified form of navigation.

Their previous website had small touches of illustrations, so they really liked the idea of pushing it further for an overall more illustrative look rather than using stock photography to represent their credit union and what they offer. They also wanted to cut down on the number of colors being used, so they selected blue as their main color and left it up to us to come up with some secondary colors to harmonize everything.

Based off all this information, we opted on a couple varying shades of blue with pops of golden yellow to draw attention to areas of importance. We also found a fun and wide-ranging set of stock illustrations that could be used now and, in the future, as the site is revised over time.

To simplify things, we kept the information on the homepage basic, while still leaning into something that is quite fun and interesting for visitors to the site. Going along with the illustrative theme, we created an area highlighting their social media presence and a section highlighting important areas of interest about the credit union itself. For the inside pages, we liked the idea of a bolder contrasting look to help differentiate from the home page.
