LKCS is recruiting a full-time graphic and web designer to join our amazing and award-winning team. Your role will be to develop creative and impactful design concepts for use in both print and web.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conceptualize and implement various print and digital design concepts to meet the specific needs and goals of our customers. Applicants should expect to design websites, email messages, logos, flyers, brochures, newsletters, and more.
• Create unique and effective messaging to be used in the development of brand standards, marketing campaigns, and various promotional materials. Provide ongoing website maintenance - making routine content edits to existing websites, building new pages, designing banners, icons, and other graphics as needed.
• Remain updated on design trends, techniques, and software, as well as industry related technologies. Having a strong desire and willingness to learn is a must. Applicants should expect to participate in education opportunities, read professional publications, maintain professional networks, and participate in professional industry organizations. We provide access to online educational tools and resources, and time during normal work hours for continuous education.
• Interact and share project specific details with a diverse team of designers, programmers, salespeople, production employees, and customers. Being able to explain ideas and design concepts is important, as is listening to and accepting opposing points of view.

Design Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2-years design experience. Be able to explain or demonstrate past brand development, design, and layout experiences, use of typography, and examples of originality and creative problem solving via a portfolio.
• Proficient in industry leading design software. Have in-depth knowledge and experience using Adobe Dreamweaver, Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop.
• An eye for detail. Be able to spot glaring design issues, spelling and grammar problems, and other mistakes on print and digital projects.
• Willingness to learn and a curiosity to try new things. Be able to evolve as trends and industry standards do through individual and team-driven research and training.
• Working efficiently. Have a strong work ethic and be able to meet project deadlines without sacrificing quality.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Be able to present and articulate ideas to team members and customers by way of conversation and email.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-driven business professional environment.
• Keep organized and check your work for accuracy, omissions, and excellence.
• Work hard, have fun, and learn a lot along the way!

Additional Skills Preferred, but not Required:

• Basic HTML and CSS knowledge. Be able to make various programming edits to web pages and email marketing messages.
• Experience in using CMS platforms – WordPress, Sitefinity, DNN, etc.
• Experience in using prototyping tools, such as InVision and Adobe XD.
• Experience designing websites with web accessibility (ADA) in mind.
• Video and/or multimedia production experience.
